About Jackson Kruse
Kruse has always been passionate about coaching, skill development, and the academic success of young athletes. Although his playing career ended after high school, he is a proud alumnus of the University of Kansas, where he earned a degree in Sports Management, remaining determined to work in the basketball industry.
As a native of Omaha, Nebraska, Jackson’s basketball coaching and administrative journey commenced at the Omaha Sports Academy. There, Kruse worked in various roles, such as a facility manager, coach, trainer, referee, and camp director. His administrative experience also includes working as a facilities manager at the College Basketball Experience in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
Over the past 7 years, Kruse has been touted locally for his business acumen and his uncanny ability to coach and educate basketball talent at multiple levels. In August 2023, Jackson and his business partner, Wally Judge, founded a Kansas City basketball academy, the Kruse Elite Basketball Academy. KEBA’s overarching mission is to use basketball as a transformational platform for leadership, skill development, community engagement, and academic excellence. Due to the vast program growth and player success in its first year, KEBA has nearly doubled in size, from 7 to 12 teams, ranging from 5th to 12th grade.
Founding KEBA has been a dream come true for Kruse and the legacy of his family. With his unwavering commitment to servant leadership, he hopes to leave a positive mark on his players for years to come.
